Key Responsibilities:
- Provide credit risk evaluation of credit applications submitted by the various business units and identify / address / mitigate all pertinent credit risk issues.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with any credit exposure to the bank and make appropriate recommendations to facilitate conscious decision making by credit approving authority, while ensuring long term asset quality and minimize loan losses.
- Mediate difference in views between credit evaluation and business units in order to achieve an optimal proposition, balancing both risk and business needs.
- Maintain market awareness so as to be vigilant of trends affecting existing and future credit exposures.
- Review and sign-off credit ratings submitted by the business units and where appropriate, recommend upgrades or downgrades in credit rating.
- Perform "check and balance" on compliance of internal and external policies and conditions/covenants imposed on facilities.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or equivalent.
- Certified Credit Professional or any similar credit-related certification.
- At least 8 years credit experience in SME/Commercial environment.
- Have a good understanding of legal documentation to identify areas which could present credit risks.
- Skilled at communicating and presenting.
